Let us tell you a short story about our Journey
Autoequip Australia was founded by Terry Burgess, who gained an intimate knowledge of vehicles at an early age while owning and operating a transport company. He would spend more time working on trucks than he spent in them. As a service manager for various dealerships in the ACT and NSW, Terry gained a plethora of valuable knowledge hands on experience.
Terry then joined Ultimo TAFE and was well respected by all who knew him and came to rely on his vast automotive knowledge and infectious sense of humour. He rose to the rank of assistant Head Teacher and realised he could be more useful to his many friends, customers and colleagues by sourcing and offering excellent quality products and very affordable prices. His vast mechanical and technical knowledge was invaluable in the establishment of the company.
Terry went overseas to select only high quality well priced automotive products. Products which were chosen for their quality in manufacture while remaining competitive in the marketplace.
Our Mission
Autoequip, like all Australian owned companies has seen both good growth and suffered downturns as the economy fluctuates. The company today is stronger than ever and sharing the legacy passed down from its great founder. Terry, who sadly passed away in late 2022 will be sorely missed by all. Terry worked hard to establish strong relationships with his customers and that loyalty has continued to this day and will be sustained well into the future.
The business he established is now in the hands of the younger generations of his family who hope to keep his memory proud and continue to build on the good work and tireless efforts of their companies founder.
